Affordable Solar is a proposed 190 MW hybrid solar and battery energy storage project located in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. The development project, consisting of 150 MW of solar capacity and 40 MW of battery storage, is interconnected to the Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) via the PNM Jicarilla 345 kV Switching Station near Dulce. The project entered the PNM interconnection queue on July 27, 2018, as queue ID PNM-IA-PNM-2018-05, with a proposed commercial operation date of December 1, 2021. The interconnection agreement (IA) has been executed.
